Why teach children krav maga? Children have specific characteristics such as size, temperament, and life experience.

Children also have specific threats that they have to deal with (e.g. environmental dangers, dealing with bullies, assault by a bigger person).

We teach children self-defence using scenarios as a context - We teach them how to recognize aggressive behavior and differentiate the level of threat.

In the process of training, children also learn how to de-escalate, remain calm and decide on how to respond using reasonable force. The training also improves their self-esteem, discipline, and respect of other people.

Krav Maga for kids and juniors are taught using specialized games and drills to help your child get used to physical contact, develop their responses, and also increase their assertiveness.

2025 Anti-kidnapping workshop for kids and teens

KIDS (age 7-9)

We teach kids to avoid fights but we also teach them how to be confident and assertive. They will learn how to push or fight back in order defend themselves. Due to their young age and immaturity we discourage kids from becoming overly aggressiveCombative drills are done on pads and there is no sparring (but there are 'sparring games'). Releases from holds are done with partners. We tell kids that fighting back is a last option and we always encourage them to seek help from a parent/teacher/police.

JUNIORS (age 10-14)

We teach juniors how avoid fights but we also teach them how to be confident and assertive. They will learn how to push or fight back in order to defend themselves. Juniors are taught fighting skills by striking pads with force and controlled aggression. Release from holds are done with partners. It is crucial that juniors understand the concept of reasonable use force versus unreasonable force.  We tell juniors that fighting back is a last option and we always encourage them to seek immediate help from a parent/teacher/police.
